Positioned in the Open Web team; Absa.co.za and Absa.africa, my responsibilities included user research, testing, prototyping, and collaboration with developers and business stakeholders.

Work ranged from digital revisions of Loyalty Benefits (Dischem), fleet management dashboards (Department of Transport in collaboration with Vodacom) to point-of-sale systems for airlines (Tourvest). Responsibilities included user research, creating components, low and high fidelity prototypes, as well as evaluating and supervising developers' work on ongoing projects.
The main focus was on revamping the interfaces used by various assessors and bankers to facilitate the bank's loan products for business clients. Research, testing, journey mapping, prototyping, iteration, and ongoing evaluation of the present strategy were fundamental to the process.
Ensuring a seamless User Interface (UI) design and exceptional user experience (UX) were paramount in my daily work. Facilitating ease of comprehension and navigation for users was a critical aspect of my routine, therefore, careful attention was given to the presentation of content on any platform that required user interaction.
Serving as the design lead, I oversaw the creation of HTML mailers, banners, and landing pages for diverse lead generation campaigns. Our primary focus was on enhancing the overall usability and expanding the reach of the content, which led us to regularly conduct split tests to identify areas for improvement.
I was tasked with supervising the development and upkeep of all print (newsletters, annual reports, investor newsletters) and electronic communication (company website, subsidiary websites, mailers, banner adverts).
My duties encompassed the creation of artwork for websites, the development of micro-sites, and the regular updating of different deals and promotions featured on various websites throughout the month and year.
My primary role encompassed the creation and upkeep of various AdWords campaigns, carefully selecting and implementing ad groups and keywords, optimizing landing pages and campaigns to achieve better performance. As a digital designer, I created and optimized SEO-oriented web pages for clients.
